Yearly Summary of Art
Year 2025 is finally done! Here’s a summary of what my year in art looked like:

This year I feel like I have improved especially on perspective, posing, anatomy and expressions. My goal for the next year is to just draw more and to finish yet another sketchbook. Also, I want to use up more of my traditional art supplies that have been collecting for years and not to buy any new ones before that unless necessary.
I think I have finally achieved a stage where I’m more comfortable at starting my comic project. After finishing my master’s thesis, I went back to my story script and retouched it - I have the beginning and the ending outlined pretty well, but the middle part still needs more substance. Next year I want to go back to storyboarding and to finally start proper comic pages.
To end this short blog post, I made a list of all my of art related achievements this year:
- Finished my sketchbook and started a new one.
- Finished one acrylic painting after a hiatus and started another one.
- Tried colorwork knitting for the first time and knitted two sweaters and a pair of fingerless gloves.
- Crocheted two cardigans, a hook case, a spiderweb top (for Halloween) and a plush pretzel as a gift.
- Participated in Art Fight for the third time. This year I really experimented with different art styles and new brushes.
- Upgraded my desktop computer with more ram and disk space, which has made my digital art program work better and faster.
- Made a lot of updated and new reference sheets for the characters from my Tales of Encla story project.
Happy New Year! :)
